Pre-Operative Instruction Prior to Dental Implant Surgery

 If there are any changes in your health status, please notify us immediately.  We will only place implant when you are at optimum health to ensure the success of implant.  The following instructions are important to follow before surgery:

 

One week before surgery:  rinse mouth with the prescribed Peridex rinse twice a day everyday.

 

The night before surgery: take one Motrin (600 mg).  If you are allergic to aspirin, you may take 1000 mg of Tylenol.

 

One hour before surgery:  take 4 capsules of Amoxicillin (500 mg) and 1 Motrin (600 mg).  If you are allergic to Penicillin, please inform us immediately. 

 

Make sure you eat well 30 min before taking these medications.  Bring an Ipod for your relaxation.  Turn off your cell phone.
